La vérité sur l’affaire Harry Quebert – Joël Dicker (2012)
The first part reminded me of The Secret History, the second is an amazing whodunnit. Ingeniously structured – as a book within a book, telling three interwoven stories – and beautifully written (by the enviable young Dicker!), it tells lessons about the art of writing, about love and about coping with our inner demons . All in all, I think the book lives up to the lines in the epilogue saying that a good book is a book that makes the reader feel sorry he finished it.
